YTA GOTCHA PAINTBALL ONLINE PARTICIPANT WAIVER, CONSENT AND DECLARATION

Important Information — Please Read Before Completing

To help reduce waiting times on arrival, all participants are requested to complete this online waiver before attending their event.

All sections must be completed accurately and in full. Any incomplete or incorrectly completed waiver will be considered invalid, and the participant will be required to complete a new waiver on site before being permitted to take part.

Digital waivers must be submitted at least 48 hours before the event to be accepted as valid by Yorkshire Tactical Activities.

Please read the following declaration carefully before signing.

Health & Safety

At Yorkshire Tactical Activities (YTA), the health and safety of everyone taking part is a priority. Paintball is an active sport that involves certain risks. All participants must understand these risks, follow the safety rules and take reasonable care of themselves and others.

By signing this agreement, I confirm that I have read, understood and agreed to the following:

1. Minimum Age

I confirm that I am aged 8 or over, or that I am an authorised parent or guardian completing this agreement on behalf of a participant who meets the site's age requirements.

2. Understanding the Risks

I understand that paintball involves risks, including bruises, cuts, strains, broken bones, eye or hearing injuries, insect bites, slips, trips, falls, collisions, permanent injury or, in extreme cases, death.

These risks may arise from my own actions, the actions of other players, the playing environment or other circumstances.

3. Paintball & Playing Conditions

I understand that Gotcha paintballs may cause bruising, discomfort or broken skin. The playing area may include uneven ground, rabbit holes, slippery surfaces, broken branches, trees and other obstacles.

I agree to take care, watch where I am going and remain aware of my surroundings throughout the activity.

4. Safe Shooting

I will never deliberately shoot another player or member of staff in the face, head or neck.

I will use all equipment responsibly and follow the instructions given by YTA staff.

5. Paintball mask & Protective Equipment

I will wear my paintball mask at all times while inside the designated playing areas. I will never remove or lift them while in a playing area, even when the game has stopped.

I understand that failing to follow this rule could put me and others at risk and may result in me being removed from the activity or site.

I agree to wear and use all required protective equipment and follow the safety briefing.

6. Minimum Shooting Distance

I agree not to shoot another player or member of staff from a distance of less than 5 metres. I will also follow any additional shooting rules explained during the safety briefing.

7. Medical Conditions

I confirm that I am fit enough to take part in Gotcha paintball, or that the child I am signing for is fit enough to participate.

I will inform the game manager of any medical condition, injury, inhaler use or other medical aid that may affect safe participation.

If I am unsure whether it is safe for me or the child in my care to take part, I will seek appropriate medical advice before playing.

8. Taking Part Voluntarily

I understand that taking part is my choice and that some risks may be unavoidable or unexpected. I have considered these risks before deciding to participate or allowing the child in my care to participate.

9. Accepting the Risks

I understand that accidents and injuries can happen during  Gotcha paintball, even when safety rules are followed.

I agree to take reasonable care of myself and others and accept responsibility for my own actions. Nothing in this waiver removes any legal rights or protections that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Anyone who ignores safety instructions or puts themselves or others at risk may be stopped from playing or asked to leave the site.

Please choose your paintball packages carefully and only buy what you think you will need.

Paintball purchases are final and no refunds will be given .

15. Paintball Prices

Liability & Final Declaration

I confirm that I have read and understood this waiver and am aware of the risks involved in participating in Gotcha paintball.

I agree to follow all safety rules, listen to instructions from Yorkshire Tactical Activities (YTA) staff and take reasonable care of myself and others throughout the activity.

I understand that paintball involves inherent risks and that accidents or injuries may occur, even when safety rules are followed.

By signing this agreement, I acknowledge these risks and accept responsibility for my own actions. If I am signing on behalf of a minor, I confirm that I have the appropriate authority to do so and that I understand the risks involved in their participation.

To the extent permitted by law, I accept responsibility for loss or injury arising from my own actions or failure to take reasonable care.

I understand that this agreement is intended to record my acknowledgement of the risks involved in the activity. Nothing in this agreement excludes or limits the legal responsibilities of Yorkshire Tactical Activities, the owners of the playing site or any other person where such liability cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
